Bioactivity of cycloastragenol
Cycloastragalol is a triterpene saponin compound, which is Astragalus membranaceus (Fisch.) The hydrolysate of the active ingredient in Bunge). In Vitro Study:
Compared with the carrier control in HEK culture, star membrane protein (0-10 μ M; 3-6 days) increased cell growth . Astramembrangenin（0.3 μ M; 5-90 minutes) induced CREB phosphorylation in primary cortical neurons, and the expression of total CREB in both cell types was not affected by CAG . Star membrane protein (3) μ M; 6-48 hours) can promote in vivo signal transduction in neurons, increase TERT mRNA expression, and show increased bcl 2 mRNA expression . Cell viability assay  cell line: HEK cell concentration: 1 μ M，3 μ M，10 μ M culture time: 3-6 days results: cell growth doubled at 6 days. Western blot analysis  cell line: neuron cell concentration: 0.3 μ M culture time: 5 minutes, 15 minutes, 30 minutes, 90 minutes. Results: CAG induced CREB activation in neurons. RT-PCR  cell line: neuron cell concentration: 3 μ M culture time: 6-48 hours results: the expression of TERT and Bcl 2 mRNA increased.
